|
Merdeka Carnival at Hertford
|
|
The Merdeka Carnival- Malaysia’s 49 years of independence was held at the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre in Brickendonbury, Hertford last Saturday
My husband, myself, Suraya, MakLong and CikNa was there with our heavy loaded picnic basket filled with Nasi Lemak & Sambal Sotong. (Along yang masak!Sedap!!) We arrived there at around 12 noon where people had started to flood the field with tents and tikars.. Seronok la jugak pasal dah lama tak nengok orang melayu ramai2 berkompol. Kat Malaysia pon takde sambutan merdeka meriah macam nih. Suraya pulak sampai2 jek tidor. Bila bangun excited la tengok ada bouncy castle sume. Makanan pon meriah la. Kuih2 melayu pon banyak. 
Banyak la persembahan budaya. Indian dance naik masyuk dengan lagu bollywood daddy tengok sampai meleleh air liur..  awek dia jambu2 woo goyang dada.. lion dance ada, tarian melayu pon ada la of course..
Oh ye maklong won a lucky draw prize. Masa orang tu announce, "the next prize is dinner for 2 at Corus hotel" dengan cepatnya dia pon jawab , " Hish, tak sedap lah.. ni aku taknak!". Tak dan-dan lepas tu number dia pon naik. Itu ler.. kalu yang tanak tu mesti dapat punye.
We went back home at around 6 in the evening. Kepenatan and kekenyangan sungguh. Closing event Suraya berak keras sampai menonggeng2 kat bawah pokok meneran sampai kuar air mata.. sedehhh..

LONDON

kali ni 2nd trip kitorang ke london.. biasalah.. dengan siapa lagi kalu bukan MakLong & CikNa.. but this time around buat tourist trip lah apa lagi kat area River Thames.. nengok London Eye... Big Ben.. Trafalgar Square..dan kawasan2 sewaktu dengannya lah. Last time we went to London ke Hyde Park jek bawak cuyaya lepak2... nothing much to write about these places.. tengok gambar je lah.. rasanya orang Malaysia memang ramai dah pegi tetempat nih..

Great Yarmouth

This is the first outing after about a week arrived in Norwich. Great Yarmouth is one of the popular seaside destination on the north Norfolk coast in East Anglia. Masa ni kitorang masih merempat di Holiday Inn Norwich lagi. It's not that far from the hotel. It took us around half an hour to get there. Not bad at all. Nasib baik cuaca baik masa tu. Suraya had so much fun main pasir. We also went to the Sea Life centre. Overall ok lah jugak tempat tu.. nice beach..

Norwich
|

This is the first day of our lives in Norwich. Alhamdulillah.. after about 17 hours journey from KL -> Amsterdam -> Norwich sampai lah kami sekeluarga dengan selamat. Rasa nak tercabut juboq naik flite dengan Suraya meragam masa memula naik flite tepekik telolong.. Rasa nak menangis pon ada pasal dah lah flite kitorang midnite flite which I think most of them are planning to sleep throughout the journey or at least half of the journey. Cik Sue rasanya macam cultural shock tetiba masuk kapalterbang sume muka orang putih. Tak tahu lah nape dia histercal sangat. Kalu nak kata dia takut naik kapal terbang kalu domestic dah 2 kali dah kl-langkawi and jb-kl. Nasib baik jugak lah aku yang memboyot ni takde lak nak muntah.. Ada sekali kejadian air pocket yang agak menyeramkan lah.. rasa nak gugur jantung. Alhamdulillah.. macam a few second je la.. serammm seyh...
The first 2 weeks here in Norwich we were staying at Holiday Inn, Ipswich Rd dalam 5 minit jek to city centre. Norwich ni cantik lah jugak. It is somewhat very country yet very sophisticated. Kampung lah.. kawasan cantik.. very serene but the city centre is very modern and yang paling penting the shopping site is superb.. hehehe.. 
Anyway, after 2 weeks dah penat dok hotel sampai nak muntah makanan omputeh yang tak sedap.. Akhirnya dapatlah kami rumah idaman yang terletak di area Mulbarton. Dalam 15 minit jek pon from city centre. Nice area. Very country and the house is next to a playground. Basically after the long search, we finally found the house that we've been looking for . Everything is very nice and the rent is very reasonable.
